Mission

The Education, Incentives and Employment branch offer assistance to Soldiers, veterans, and dependents to facilitate them in realizing their civilian education and employment goals.

Organization

The Education, Incentives and Employment branch is subdivided into two sections, the education and incentives section and the employment section. The employment section functions in tandem with the Kentucky Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

• Selected Reserve Incentive Program(SRIP)
• Health Professional Loan Repayment Program
• Medical/Dental Student Stipend Program ((MDSSP)
• Specialized Training Assistance Program (STRAP)
• Special Pay Bonuses for Health Professionals
• Tests administered weekly include: Defense Language Proficiency Exams (DLPT), Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB), Selection Instrument for Flight Training (SIFT) - which replaced the AFAST - and the Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT). We coordinate ACT, SAT, PRAXIS, GRE Subject exam & DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST) with Fort Knox and Fort Campbell.
• Outreach program - designed to develop partnerships with traditional brick and mortar schools with-in the commonwealth. These partnerships provide a collaborative effort to provide educational opportunities to service members and their families through scholarships, reduced tuition rates, and course programs developed to support service member’s needs.
